Many of you already know that my mother has been battling stage IV non-smoker's lung cancer since October 2008. Unfortunately, we are at the end of treatment options for her and she has declined rapidly since Christmas.
While I take the time to care for her in her final days, I am closing the bake shop temporarily. My mother has dedicated her entire adult life to her five children and the least I can do for her is put my life on hold to be with her as much as possible. Since my business is a one-woman show most of the time, I need to relieve myself of this duty to feel like I can commit myself to my mother fully.
I do not know when I will have the website up and running again but do not have plans to permanently close the doors.
